Coupe de France : l'OM accueillera Nivolas-Vermelle en 16e

Le tirage au sort en a donc décidé ainsi : en 16e de finale de la Coupe de France, les Olympiennes retrouveront un adversaire du championnat de D2, Nivolas-Vermelle. La rencontre aura lieu le dimanche 25 janvier à Marseille.

Les deux équipes se sont affrontées cette saison en championnat pour le compte de la 6e journée de championnat à Nivolas. Les Olympiennes s'y firent très peur, menées 0-2 après moins d'un quart d'heure de jeu. Mais la jeune Oumaima Maiel, puis Alicia Pourquiès permirent d'éviter une cruelle désillusion.

Nivolas est largement à la portée de l'OM, mais attention à ne pas sous-estimer cette équipe, très bien en place, notamment sur le plan défensif. Il faudra être sérieuses, motivées et au meilleur niveau afin d'aller goûter aux délices d'un 8e de finale...

Stay strong, my friend. It's times like these where me must all stand together, because these are the things, the truly unspeakable events, that are unacceptable no matter what country you're from.

I saw video of the march in Paris and it was absolutely awe-inspiring to see the emotion, the sea of people flooding the streets. I only wish I could march alongside everyone there. I couldn't, but I can only hope that words, and a pencil held as high in the air as I can, will suffice.

I wish our world could unite without it being the worst of circumstances, but it's wonderful to see our ability to do so when they are.

Best of luck to the girls, I know they can come and do better than that league result. I know they'll win this.

Also, Je suis Charlie and Je suis Ahmed, Je suis all of those poor souls. My heart goes out to everyone who lost their life or their friends and family in that attack. As an artist myself, and as a human being, it shocks me to the core to know that things as terrible as this can ever happen in the world that I love so much.
