Back to Isère for OM Féminin Sunday, October 19 (3 pm) on behalf of D2’s day 6. A visit to Nivolas-Vermelle, aiming for a fifth win in a row.

Although Nivolas Vermelle, fourth away game for the Olympians, is not a heavyweight in this D2 Group C (9th, 9 pts, one above the red line), we will not risk our hand that this step will be easy either. Because the Isèroises just drew Toulouse away (1-1), where OM had fallen flag in the first day of the season (1-3). For one surprise either way would not make any difference in this group since we had several since the beginning of this championship, let’s be cautious !

Let’s not already see oneself there

Unlike the Olympians’ last two opponents Claix or Monteux, Nivolas Vermelle is not yet a regular team in D2. If the women's section exists since 1992, the team plays only its third season at this level ... which is nevertheless two more than their visitors, let’s not forget it. Ranked 5th for their debut in 2012-13, the Nivolésiennes could not do better than 10th last year, five points ahead of the first relegated, but 14 pts behind Véore Montoison. They were defeated seven times in eleven games at home... This season has not started in a much better way with two home games played and lost so far, against the FA Marseille (1-2, 2nd day) and Le Puy (1-3, 4th). The Olympians already experienced victory in the same department of Isère two weeks ago, in Claix (2-1). At first glance, the journey promises to be auspicious. Here lies the danger: to win the game in one’s head before even playing it. A new test is under the studs of the Marseillaises. It will be about humility and concentration. We will say their "professionalism", in a not monetized meaning of course.

Score and not take

In the same time, we will be hard to please, hoping to see the Olympians coming back with an empty net, a clean sheet. It would only be the second game without conceding a goal. Nivolas scored three so far. So the mission is not impossible. Moreover, OM’s gunners should still talk to the powder. Best attack of the group (15 goals), it would be hard to understand that Cousin, Pourquiès, Rubio, Pizzala (14 goals in their four) and others remain silent against a defense taking an average of two goals per game (10). And what better way to cheer young Tess Laplacette (15 years) who has been just called with France U17 NT than celebrating a victory in the bus home?
